Dodger Stadium is one of the most beloved parks in all of baseball. But as she approached her 40th birthday, she was in need of cosmetic and structural improvements to keep pace with her peers in other major cities.

At the Field level, new seating areas were added along the foul lines and behind home plate to bring fans closer to the action. New seating areas also provided access for the disabled, and restrooms were expanded and modernized. Fans seated in the section behind home plate were permitted exclusive access to a new Dugout Club bar and restaurant that was created beneath the seating bowl.

Mollenhauer Group’s civil engineering division was contracted to renovate and design the ball field’s perimeter drainage system and subdrainage system for the new club box seats behind home plate. Mollenhauer also worked extensively with the irrigation systems consultant for field drainage connections. Additional professional services performed included utility detection and GPS control, topographic and as-built surveying for the civil design and the geotechnical consultant design of seismic renovations.
